We went to Villa Moda’s seasonal sale held at Zumurroda, which was a surprise to me this year as not only it started quite early but also there was no crowds shuffling, and there been little to no line to at the cashier’s desk. Clothing, bags, and shoes were arranged by brand, except the boots and evening gowns as they were displayed in a different section.
Clothes were displayed in long stuffed racks, which can be annoying at times, however, with some little patience and eye for style, you can find some real hidden gems. I bought two lovely tops from Maison Martin Margiela. I saw a pair of TDF Prada ankle boots and Miu Miu pumps but they ran out of my size.
So, were all item in Zumurroda 50% off? Yes. Is the Villa Moda location empty now? No. Did Villa Moda send all their A/W 2009 to Zumurroda? No, some carry-over items are still at Villa Moda Shuwaikh and they’re still full-priced. Is the Luxury sale worth going to? Yes especially if you’re looking for cocktail dresses from Roksanda, D&G, and Doori or for shoes.
