Oranges

I couldn't think of a better way to have a bit of Halloween fun than using Fall/Winter 2009/10 inspired oranges. Not sure if I would be brave enough to wear orange, but I do love this shade. So happy, so full of energy and life.

Oldie but Goodie

Armani Exchange silk pleated dress, Banana Republic necklace, BCBGirls booties

Red is another color I've been really into lately - must be the influence from all the beautiful fall leaves. I wore this silky red dress from AX on my 21st birthday. Two years later, I still love it to pieces. I pair it with a pencil skirt sometimes to work! The necklace was yet another steal from Banana Republic. I LOVE it when their jewelery goes on sale! You have to rummage through trays of random pieces in plastic bags, but it's totally worth it! I found a really pretty turquoise ring the other day for $10 :)

Focus on: long gloves

Timelessly elegant, the long gloves are one of the most beautiful accessories for Fall/Winter 2009/10. The multitude of colours, from classic black and tan to autumn tones of olive green and ruby and a choice of soft leather, suede, cashmere or fabric allow you to find something very special. Personally, I'd love to get the black pair in a buttery soft leather with silk lining because it would look good now and 10 years later and yes, with the right care it will last, too. Tan is also a wonderful choice, especially, if it goes well with clothes and accessories in your autumn/winter wardrobe. Suede is stunning, but can be high maintenance. As for cashmere... I would be very tempted... because it's like giving yourself a big soft warm hug whenever you feel like it. However, cashmere does require a lot of TLC, so be prepared to look after your treasure.
