Welcome to November

November, already? The clocks are turned back an hour and the leaves are slowly disappearing from the trees.  Sometimes the month of November gets lost. The minute we put away our Halloween costumes we begin thinking about Christmas. But before Christmas comes Thanksgiving (yes, the holidays are indeed upon us!), and before December comes November.

1. Thanksgiving

Family? Check. Food? Check. Thanksgiving has all the right elements. Turn on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (and the Dallas Cowboys in the afternoon) and grab a seat at the table!

2. Color Fix
Keep the orange I mentioned last month in your wardrobe but how about adding some yellow? While most of us steer away from the mustard-colored hue, it could be the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving outfit.

3. NARS Holiday Collection
The NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are a favorite of mine and for the holiday season they have come out with two new versions of the deluxe pencil in Pop Life and Toundra (nothing completes a holiday ensemble better than red lips, right?). And don't forget your nails! NARS is introducing Rouge Andalou: the perfect candy apple red nail hue. The Holiday Collection is available this month at NARS counters nationwide, or if you don't feel the need to try on the colors you can purchase the collection online.

4. A Thankful Table
For the most part, Thanksgiving revolves around the dining table, so it's important that the table be decorated (with more than just food). One of my favorite places to draw inspiration from for fabulous tables is Tablescapes: Setting the Table With Style. This book has a tabletop for every occasion  - and some great decorating ideas for your Thanksgiving table! How will you decorate yours?

We all know Martha does it best

It doesn't have to be over-the-top. Less can certainly be more here. What about lining the dining table with Moravian star lanterns? You can purchase these enchanting lanterns here.

5. Giving Thanks

November is a month to be thankful. Tell your family, friends and all those who matter to you just how thankful you are for them. You can express thanks in all sorts of ways. How about sending a card?

You could tell them in writing with this adorable card from Little Brown Pen via Etsy?

Yes, November is a month to say thanks and we'd like to start right here: thank YOU, dear readers, for continuing to read this little project of ours. We appreciate you!
