H&M jacket, Banana Republic pencil skirt, Club Monaco top, BCBG cuffs,
I bought these white pleated cuffs from BCBG a few weeks ago thinking it would be perfect for a Chanel-esque look... for less! I paired them here with a metallic blazer. You can also wear them over a simple dress shirt or a thin long sleeve sweaters. I'm going play around to create different looks with these cuffs so you will definitely be seeing them again!
We went to a bridal show yesterday called Crème de la crème. No, I'm not getting married... in fact I don't even know anyone that's getting married at the moment. But it was fun to check out and I definitely caught the wedding bug! All the beautiful place settings, flowers, cakes...got me thinking.. how does one pick? I know I will certainly have a hard time choosing the theme/color! I also didn't realize how expensive planning a wedding can be! This gorgeous bouquet I saw cost $500! I don't know if i could spend that much on something that will wilt in a few days. They also had the Vera Wang gown from the movie Bride Wars on display. It wasn't as nice as the one in the movie - the bustier part was a different cut and the lilac belt wasn't a velvet material. What do you do at a show like this? Walk around and enjoy the freebies :) My beautiful friend R and I got our hair styled for free at Blo. The whole concept of this locally started business is simple and unique - no cuts or color, just wash, blow dry, and style. I'm convinced and will definitely be going back for my next blo-out :)
Haute Couture Fashion Show
From Vera Wang to Nicole Miller, they showcased gorgeous dresses from 3 local stores. I must have said "Yes, that's mine one day" to more than a dozen dresses! I'd be lying if I said I had a favorite.. there were too many choices. I'm glad it'll be another few years til I have to make that decision :) One little girl really stole the show. This adorable toddler waved and danced all over the runway. She would make one perfect flower girl!
